CCTRONIC Advances to Final Round: Erie Hack 2.0

On June 5th 2019, CCTRONIC competed in the semi-final round of Erie Hack 2.0, held within the Sustainable Brands conference in Cobo Center, Detroit, MI.

Competing against 18 other teams, represented by our Technical Team Lead, Leo Idraikh, and our Communication Lead, Nida Ammar, the team was among the 9 qualifying teams to the final round.

Erie Hack is a regional competition, organized by Cleveland Water Alliance with the aim of finding solution to Lake Erie’s challenges.

The team is utilizing cHorizon to solve the challenge of nutrient overload in the lake’s water, which leads to a spectrum of issues as a result of the harmful algae bloom. This algae bloom leads to suffocating the lake’s wildlife and poisoning the source of drinking water to the surrounding cities.
